The Federal Government has arrested the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu. The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, who made the disclosure to journalists on Tuesday, revealed that Kanu was arrested and brought back to Nigeria on Sunday. He said the arrest followed a collaborative effort between security agencies in Nigeria and the Interpol. Malami further disclosed that Kanu would be taken before the Federal High Court in Abuja for continuation of his trial on charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms and management of an unlawful society.

Ebonyi Man Dies While Having Hot Sex With A ( AE- FUNAI) student (Photo)  A married man who hails from Okposhi in Ebonyi State  has died while having hot sex with a young lady in the state. Sources gathered that the ugly incident happened at one of the Hostels in front of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo(AE-FUNAI) last week. According to report, the two lovers enjoyed the sex till it went sour. An eyewitness said, "they went into coma while this girl was resuscitated with the aid of an Oxygen, the man is 'resting' in a Mortuary now." Men are advised to beware of hot sex with those young girls. 

  As I inaugurated a 24-man Edo State Gender and Sexual Based Violence Management Committee (EDO-GBV) and a 24-man Gender Based Violence Technical Working Group, I charged them to bring an end to violence-based crimes in the state. The revised GBV law is now more comprehensive and has provisions for both legal and institutional mechanisms to combat violence against persons. The law has been well structured and will serve as an example for other states to follow.   In her vote of thanks, the Chairman of Edo-GBV Committee, our first lady, Mrs. Besty Obaseki, expressed readiness to work tirelessly in ensuring that the issue of gender-based violence becomes a thing of the past in Edo State.

This weekend, I visited injured Bendel Insurance Football Club players, at the Central Hospital, Benin City. Accompanying me, were, my deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu and my chief of staff, Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha. I am really shocked and very disappointed that, more than a week since the incident happened, the managers of the league have not come out to punish Remo football Club and all those that perpetrated this dastardly act of mob violence against their own colleagues. This is very barbaric and not in the spirit of sportsmanship. We have to take legal action against those responsible for this act. Bendel Insurance Football Club will not continue with the league until Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) takes appropriate action. This is the third time, I understand, our players have been attacked in the league. Fortunately, they are already covered by our insurance scheme in the state.
