Ugbome Congratulates Edo at 31st, Salutes Her Citizens

Hon. Paschal Ugbome Esq, the PDP Senate candidate, Edo North Senatorial District, has congratulated the citizens of Edo State on the 31st anniversary of the creation of the state from the old Bendel State.

In a statement made available to press men in Benin City during an interactive session yesterday, the quintessential gentleman who is well known across the length and breadth of the state as Ominimini said, "I congratulate the people of Edo State on the 31st anniversary of her creation from the old Bendel State. It has been a long journey full with ups and downs but I am proud that in spite of the challenges, we have been very fortunate. This is so because the citizens have been coexisting peacefully, they have inspired hope for the future, they are very enthusiastic and patriotism has been their hallmark.

"There is a sense of urgency for the people to continue to harvest the dividends of democracy through quality representation and good governance. This can only be made possible through our making the right political choices. Yes, the state is endowed with both human and natural resources, but for citizens to enjoy these potentials, these resources must be harnessed optimally.

"We must use this opportunity to call out the failed promises of the APC Government at the national level that has not reduced the disparity between the rich and the very poor. We must learn lessons under these tormenting and harrowing years which APC has only been able to provide the citizens of the country. This should shape our voting patterns toward the 2023 general elections.

"I am hopeful of the future; I know growth and development will come, and we are going to reap the harvest of our steadfastness as a people full of hopes, dreams and visions."
