Hon. Paschal Ugbome alias Ominimini, PDP candidate for Senate, Edo North Senatorial District, on Monday, in strong words, condemned the killing of Catholic Priest, Rev. Kelvin Ebiri, the Media Aide to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has declared that Wike will never leave the Peoples Democratic Party. He said a viral video suggesting that he (Wike) was threatening to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress was manipulated. In a statement issued on Wednesday night, Ebiri said the video being circulated was intended to mislead members of the public. Ebiri said the video was an excerpt of an old interview the governor granted to a popular television station while reacting to the defection of the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, from the PDP to the APC. Ekwu, restraining INEC from accepting any other list of candidates other than the Chief Dan Orbih's camp who's elections were monitored by the electoral body in Edo State on the 20th May, 2022 across the 18 LGAs.  The court however granting the application, gave INEC within 7 days to enter an appearance before the court from the day, 15th, it was served with the Originating Summons. The case has been adjourned to 22nd of June, 2022 for Motion on Notice. Rivers State Governor Barr Nyesom Wike has defeated his Delta State Counterpart Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to emerge the running mate to the Presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar .
