NIGERIA CONSTITUTION REMAINS TO BE FRAUD UNTIL IS REVIEW AND GIVES AUTONOMOUS TO LOCAL COUNCIL CHAIRMEN



Nigeria constitution remains a fraud until the law that gives power to governors to be conducting and overseeing Local Governments Council  elections is review and handed over to INEC since the state Electoral body has proven to be incompetent in discharging their duty at stipulated period of time while I suggest to the Nigeria Senate and Federal House of Representatives to push and pass the bill that will give autonomous to Local Government Councils in the Nation.

Defection Tsunami Hits Akoko-Edo APC ...as 19 party LG exco members, followers join PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State has suffered a political tsunami as the party's Local Government Chairman, Hon. Frank Adeyemi and his Vice, Abiaku Samuel, led other executive council members, to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Receiving the defectors at the Government House, Benin City, on behalf of the State Leader of the PDP, Governor Godwin Obaseki and State  Chairman, the Deputy Governor congratulated the new entrants for defecting to the umbrella party. The Edo State Government has commiserated with the family of DSP Michael Adams, who lost his life during a successful rescue operation of some of the victims of a kidnap incident at Igueben Local Government Area of the state. The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, who led other top government functionaries and security officers to the home of late DSP Adams on Airport Road, Benin City, condoled with the family and expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident. He noted that the late DSP Adams was a gallant officer, whose exploits are worthy of commendations and emulation. “All the heads of security agencies are here. We are grieving. He left a family behind and we have to come and commiserate with them and also join them in this dark moment.
