*PDP GROUP ADVICE NEW MEMBERS TO STOP PROVOKING PEACEFUL LEGACY MEMBERS

We can tell you categorically that those fighting for political party structure in Edo State PDP are equally fighting to become political Godfathers in the state politics hence the reasons the so-called new PDP are preventing the Governor from setting up his cabinet after one year of being elected by overwhelming citizens of the state. There is no doubt that Governor Godwin Obaseki and Deputy Governor Phillip Shaibu were elected by the masses under the Umbrella of PDP.

We laugh at those blaming Chief Dan Osi Orbih for insisting on fairness, equality, and just in the dispensation of dividends of democracy to party members.

Legacy members of the Edo PDP should not be paid back with evil for their magnanimity because of the new PDP members' political misfortune experienced in their former party- APC. As a matter of urgency and exigency, we appeal to them to retrace their steps and start making peace to unite with those they met in the party rather than creating crisis here and there.

Furthermore, the so-called new PDP have forgotten so soon that Chief Dan Osi Orbih championed the wards towards the campaign in all the 192 wards. So, what exactly is Dan Orbih's offense in this whole matter? Where were those who claimed to be the owner of Mr. Godwin Obaseki then? Seriously, this is not a time to fight.

We are aware of how most of them were ashamed to come out openly to campaign along with Governor Godwin Obaseki and Deputy Governor Phillip due to fear of failure, thinking that Governor Godwin Obaseki and Deputy Governor Phillip may not come out victorious during the last Edo 2020 Governorship election. Of course, some of them were not even available during the election proper in most of the wards. The records are there. Calmed legacy PDP members should not be pushed to the wall to resort to start holding tight even the opportunities and opening available to them...

Before Governor Godwin Obaseki and Deputy Governor Phillip Shaibu joined PDP last year June, Edo State PDP was very peaceful and united, and strong to confront whoever APC present as their candidate. The party was already undergoing a healing process for the after marts from the Congresses. There are no factions in Edo PDP. It is important, we know this fact.

Those set of people who are bent on creating crisis in our great party PDP should be told that PDP is a well-organized political party that has all political mechanisms and constitutional guidelines to resolve its impasses.  

In our opinion, and based on the outcome of the Edo 2020 Governorship election, PDP still maintains its strongholds in (Edo Central and Edo South), which were still the places that gave Governor Godwin Obaseki overwhelming victory over APC Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, hence the full structure of APC which Mr. Lukman Akemokue, claimed to have decamped alongside with Governor during his interview on Channels Television shows that it is only the APC former EXCO and government political office holders (on which among resigned before) joining PDP as the APC grassroots politicians were all left-back during the period of the decamp. Is it not clear that the above is the major reason why PDP could not win Edo North, the natural home of APC election rigging machines? Was it not shocking that a seating Deputy Governor lost his LGA to today's opposition party? Lukman should please, avoid the unnecessary public talks and key into the ongoing peace process of the party.

We wish you suggest to Governor Godwin Obaseki to rise up and do the needful by acting as a father to all.  Edo people in the streets who massively voted for him during the Edo 2020 Governorship election are no longer smiling with the government of the day. We also want to suggest to the new PDP members to stop creating crises when and where there is none. We need peace and unity to develop the state.
