FEAR KILL FASTER THAN COVID-19 . IS TIME TO SPEAK UP

As a member of our great party, PDP, in Edo State and Nigeria at large where did we get it wrong before and during Edo 2020 Governorship election?

With the current commissioner's list seen to be flying since yesterday all over social media, I can only say in all the entire names in the list I know only one old PDP which is the current Publicity Secretary (Mr, Chris Nehikhare).  Hence does it mean the old PDP who also work tirelessly before and during Edo 2020 Governorship election to bring this current government on board don't have intelligent and capable hands that are fit in commissioners, Special Advisers, SSA and SAs positions? (I mean those who could also work with the Governor and his Deputy to take Edo State to a greater height? ) 

It seems our PDP leaders  in Edo State are not worried over the short  changes of those who kept the party structure before Governor Godwin Obaseki and His Deputy, Phillip Shaibu, joined  PDP after they were both neglected and denied tickets to run for their second terms in their former political party, APC. The Edo State PDP leaders should rise up to their respective responsibilities as political party leaders in the state. 

It was so funny to me when I heard from most of those who decamped along side with the governor claiming that they own the government and the old PDP who had been nurturing the party over the years as opposition own the party. They should note that we both own the government because we all worked tirelessly before and during the Edo 2020 Governorship election to ensure this government come on board today. 

Let's me quickly remind those set of people who claim to be the owner of the government that they must all understand there is no way Governor Godwin Obaseki and His Deputy Governor,Phillip Shaibu, could have become the governor and deputy  governor of Edo State today if our great party PDP had also neglect and denied them the tickets to run under the platform of PDP just the way they were both denied tickets in their former political party APC. Furthermore the governor could had not be able win the election if the old PDP had cause sabotage before and during the Edo 2020 Governorship election, hence Governor Godwin Obaseki and and his Deputy Governor Phillip should  quickly do justice to the remaining position in the government, such as the Commissioners list, Special Advisers list, SSA list and SAs list for fairness and equity.

I have heard from several occasions that the old PDP can't benefit from this current government, unless the entire party structure is being dissolve, if not the old should not expect anything from the government. They have forgotten so soon that we both worked tirelessly before and during the last Governorship election to ensure Governor Godwin Obaseki and His Deputy Phillip Shaibu, come out victorious. I advise those set of people to bury such thoughts hence they must all understand that the government can only succeed if every member of our great party PDP in Edo is being carried along or if everyone feel sense of belonging. 

Let's also remind and advise those of our brothers and sisters that are calling for the entire party structure dissolution to understand that the party executives were elected were before they joined the PDP during the period of Edo 2020 Governorship election, hence it could be better if they have call for harmonization of the party rather than asking for dissolution of the entire party structure. 

Furthermore I don't think the party structure has anything to do with with good governance in our dear State. As it's today I can boldly say Edo State is lacking behind most state in Nigeria in terms of good governance, hence the Governor must take bold steps to override all odds to face governance and take Edo State to a greater height as promised during the electioneering campaign. 

The Edo State Government can not continue to remain stagnant after one year been voted for the second term for the governor and his Deputy to delivered dividends of democracy to the good of Edo people.

I so much believed that our able Governor Godwin Obaseki and Deputy Governor Phillip Shaibu cannot buy the idea by sidelines those who once wipe away their tears when they needed them most.

Finally I urge the Governor Godwin Obaseki to use his good office to do justice to all the remaining positions by running inclusive government of the old and new PDP in the state.
