Breaking News! CHIEF DAN ORBIH JOINED WIKE TO FLAG OFF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BORI-KONO AND ALO-OMAGWA ROADS WITHIN ONE WEEK

Ada Judia Reporting from Port Harcourt. May 30th, 2021.

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, also popularly known as Mr. Projects, has flagged off the construction of the 17.2 kilometres long and 22.3 metres wide Saakpenwa-Bori-Kono dual carriageway. Three days later, Governor Wike again flagged off the Alo-Omagwa Road. Chief Dan Orbih joined him in both flag offs due to his position.

According to Governor Wike, the flag-off of the project was in fulfillment of a promise made during the inauguration of phase one of the project, adding that having reconstructed the road from Saakpenwa up to Bori Town, it was proper to extend the same comfort and opportunities the road offered to the people in Kono Town.

Governor Wike urged CCECC not to use the rainy season as excuse to delay delivering the project in 14 months as agreed, because both the contract and the money were signed and released during the rainy season. According to Governor Wike, he said known of these roads being flagged off will be left unfinished before he leaves office.

Performing the flag-off in the presence of the Vice Chairman South South PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, Senator Lee Maeba, said nobody prompted Governor Wike to adopt the road for reconstruction because he is a leader who knows what is best for the people and understands how central the Saakpenwa -Bori -Kono road project is to every Ogoni person.

In the last past five years, project execution and commissioning has become synanymous with his administration, which even his greatest enemies would agree to. Roads, bridges, gutters, schools, jetties and health facilities have been the hallmark of his administration. It is not surprising that with these achievements, the Vice Chairman South South, Chief Dan Orbih, is always in hand to lend support during commissioning. As the Vice Chairman of the South South region of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih said this should be emulated all through the South South region so that the party can continue to retain the region as the people will continue to vote for the party when they see the physical dividends of democracy.
