EDO GOVERNMENT TO REVOKED UZANU CLAN THREATEN ARREST WARRANT ON CLEM AGBA IF.........SHAIBU

The Edo State Government has revoked the Uzanu clan from existence saying the continouse existence of the clan has heighten insecurity challenges and communal clashes in the State.

"Uzanu was just a small village with less than Seven hundred adult population the former Governor Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Clement Agba connived together to convert into a clan during his era to fulfill political interest against the which of the majority despite series of protest and litigation against the creation of the clan."

"Since  the creation of Uzanu clan all nebouring communities have been leaving under security threat and various forms of killing being supervised by their already deposed Oniola traditional ruler.

On assumption of office, the incumbent administration has taken several steps to resolve continuous communal clashes instigated by the leadership of Uzanu but the adamant nature of the Uzanu people in abiding by government peaceful resolution to their land disputes leave more to be desire. It became clear that Uzanu was created by Oshiomhole and Prince Clement Agba as a political clan to distarbilised the state by refusing to allowing peace to exist despite the illegality upon which it was created.

The collective decision to revoke Uzanu Clan back to a village as it were, was reached today by the Edo State Government during an enlarged meeting with members of Uzanu village and Igiode community as it was agreed that a single village with less than one thousand voting strength can't make a Clan.

In the enlarged meeting that took place in the Conference room of the office of the Deputy Governor, the Edo State Government also accused the Minister of State Budget and Planning Mr. Clem Agba of creating hostility and communal crisis in the State through his arts and conduct.

The Deputy Governor of Edo State Comrade Philip Shaibu said "the warrant of arrest on the Minister of State Budget Mr Clem Agba would be issue in no distance time over his alleged involvement in a communal crisis between Igiode and Uzanu communities in Etsako East Local Governments of the state which has lead to the death of many and render others homeless.

According to the Deputy Governor, the arrest warrant will be the last resort should  he (Clem Agba) fail to honour and the fourth invitation of the State Boundary Committee to explain his level of involvement in the communal crisis which has lead to the death of both adults and children.

It would be recalled that the crisis between Igiode and Uzanu over boundary issues has been on for several years before the present administration of Godwin Obaseki came up with a white paper on adjustments and demarcation of their boundaries 2 years ago, bringing relative peace to both communities.

Trouble started early this year as Igiode Community accused the Minister of State Budget Prince Clam Agba who is from Uzanu of removing the state government beacon demarcation and trespassing deep into their land.

Both representatives of Uzanu Benjamin Ikami and Igiode Matthew Oseseamhe both acknowledged that the renewed crisis was caused by the trespass of The Minister, who claimed to have purchased the land from the late Oliola of Uzanu.

In a media statement issue after the meeting, the Deputy Governor assured that all legal process will be put in place and perfected to ensure that every wrong will be put right as Uzanu community can't stop Edo State from moving forward.
