Image
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) laments the  Tuesday night's massacre of no fewer than 30 compatriots in simultaneous bandit attacks on four villages in two local government areas of Zamfara state. The party also bemoans the killing of a staff as well as abduction of unknown number of students of Greenfield University in Kaduna state, the same Tuesday night. It is saddening that bandits and terrorist elements are now holding our nation to ransom due to the manifest lack of commitment by the Buhari Presidency and the disoriented All Progressives Congress (APC) to decisively confront the situation and secure our country. Today, under President Muhammadu Buhari, our nation has become an expansive killing field where bandits, terrorist, kidnappers and invaders are having a field day despoiling our communities and killing our compatriots.  This is completely unacceptable! Our party recalls that we had advised President Buhari to conduct a holistic rejigging of our national security a

Hon. Paschal Ogbome Celebrates Birthday Anniversary

Image
Elempe Dele I have struggled to shrug off the thoughts to write about one of our most distinguished leader in PDP, Hon. Paschal Ogbome, AKA Ominimi of Africa, as he adds one more year to his years here on earth, but the temptation to pour the befitting encomium to his worthy character took precedence.  I have known so many men in the course of my life and in the meantime foray into politics, not so many charm me as Ominimi does. Apart from being an asset to humanity, he happen to be available to many endearments to which even those who might be opposed to him in politics or otherwise will testify. He is first a family man, then a gentleman, a mentor, a friend, a father figure, an associate, a solicitor and a politically savvy detribalised cosmopolitan individual. He cuts his teeth into the three senatorial districts in long term friendships that you would suspect he is from the trio. Oh yes, he is a veteran in making friends.  His style is suave and would always stand out as an iconi

Image
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) condemns the attempt by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration to deny the printing of N60 billion by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) at its behest. The PDP asserts that the admission by CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, that the apex bank has been printing money at the bidding of government, has vindicated its earlier stand that the Buhari-led APC administration is characterized by concealments, deceit and falsehood. The PDP flays the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed, for attempting to mislead Nigerians by denying the revelations by the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki, that N60 billion was printed in March to support federal allocation to states. Governor Obaseki, as a financial expert, who is not known for flippancy, must be commended for his act of patriotism in exposing the dire economic situation our nation has been plunged under the Buhari administration. A situation where the Federal Government
