DISCRIMINATION AND DISQUALIFICATION OF ALL THE HND GRADUATES BY THE GREEN FIELD CONSULTANTS IN THE ONGOING EDO CIVIL SERVICE JOBS RECRUITMENT DOES NOT WORK IN THE INTEREST OF EDO STATE PEOPLE AND NIGERIA AT LARGE

We are using this medium to draw the attention of Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu, to quickly look into the process and method being used by the Green Field Consultants in the selections and shortlist of applicants for the ongoing Edo Civil Service Recruitment Jobs, as employment should be based on merit of every applicant, rather than focusing on the type certificates only. 

We are aware that most BSC graduates mainly dwells on theories during the period of their studies compared to that of HND graduates that dwells mainly on practical and theories during the period of their studies, hence the need for the employer (Edo State Government) to do justice on the ongoing Edo civil service recruitment jobs. 

We are also aware that going to the field of work is mainly on practical not on theory as considered by the Green Field Consultants, hence best hands who can yield  positive results to Edo State Government should be considered in the ongoing recruitment process, rather than considering paper weight that may not yield positive results into the system. 

Until this moment, Polytechnics are still in operation and producing millions of graduates yearly in the entire nation, so what will happen to those graduating from those higher institutions if the government continues to discriminate and neglect them during employments? 

Our suggestion is for the Edo state government and Green Field Consultants to make use of 60% for the BSC graduates, and 40% for the HND graduates, instead of disqualifying the entire HND graduates. 

Currently, the dichotomy between the university graduates and polytechnic graduates have been removed by the federal government. Would the consultants give any reason for their continued discrimination of HND graduates ? 

We attached the requirements as published by Edo State government. 

I shall be grateful if the above request is being considered and attended to by the Edo State Government without delay.
