Immediate past Imo Governor Senator Rochas Okorocha has been arrested after he dared Governor Hope Uzodimma to reopen the Royal Palm Estate sealed by the State Government. Accompanied by his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, the former Governor broke the keys to recover the estate belonging to his wife, Nkechi. Infuriated by the ex-Governor’s action, loyalists to the State Government confronted them in a clash that left one person injured. Imo Government on Friday had recovered the Royal Palm Estate along Akachi road. The seizure, according to the team led by Commissioner for Lands, Enyinnaya Onuegbu, was in compliance with directive of the Imo State gazette on the report of the Judicial Commission of Enquiry on recovery of Lands and other related matters.

The teenage female student, who was arrested for possession of a pistol in other to kill her school teacher for telling her to cut her coloured hair in Cross River State has confessed that she also belongs to a cult group “Sky Queens Confraternity”.  She also confessed that the owner of the pistol is her “man-friend”, who’s married and a father of 6 kids.

After moving round from Edo South, Edo Central to Edo North I observed the way and manner the Fulani herdsmen are moving their cow around people's farms and forest in the state is not encouraging and is a threat to the life of farmers and all Edo sons and daughters in state, hence we are using this medium to call on Governor Godwin Obaseki to do the needful by implementing anti open grazing laws against all cattle rearers in Edo State. This will go a long way in installing peace between the farmers and the Fulani herdsmen in the state, that is if the Governor would take a bold step in implementing and banning open grazing in the entire state. Nobody's farm is worth to be destroyed by another.  The lives of our people are very precious to us hence we must all do what we can to do to prevent deaths and destruction. The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Edo State Wing has suspended its indefinite strike, which entered 19th day. In a statement by its chairman, Pius Okhueleigbe, the Assistant Secretary-General, Mike Itua and three other members of the executive, the teachers disclosed the suspension of the indefinite strike, which commenced on January 18, was made possible by the national leadership of the union. It urged all public primary school heads and teachers in Edo state to resume work on Monday, February 8, 2021. The union declared any form of victimisation against Edo NUT leaders and members should be promptly reported to the leadership for necessary action. It urged the Godwin Obaseki’s administration to utilise the opportunity of the suspension of the indefinite strike to urgently meet Edo NUT’s ten-point demands to restore hope and confidence between government and the union, thereby enhancing the welfare of the primary school teachers. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) firmly rejects plots by the Buhari Presidency and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to use the decoy of ambassadorial appointments to shield the immediate past service chiefs from investigation over alleged killing of innocent Nigerians and crimes against humanity under their inglorious watch.
