*Edo State PDP Chairman Receives Appreciation Award, Advises Group To Broaden Its Scope




The Chairman, People's Democratic Party, Edo State Branch, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tony Aziegbemi today receives an appreciation award from Esan Coalition Group.


Presenting the Award, the Coordinator of the Group who happened to be a former Vice President, National Association of Nigerian Students (National Affairs) and Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki on Youth and Special Duty, Comrade Joewealth Ikhuomose Ehimemenn noted that, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi is a true Ambassador of Esan Nation. According to Comrade Joewealth, the State Chairman has further proven that, when an Esan son or daughter takes a responsibility, they deliver on their mandate to specification. He said that, Edo PDP had suffered for over 13 years of not wining election but surprisingly return to wining ways as soon as Rt. Hon. Tony Aziegbemi took over as the State Chairman. He stressed that, the magic did not just happen over night except for the prolific managerial ability displayed by Dr. Tony Aziegbemi in terms of managing the party and its people. He commended the Chairman that, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi's result oriented ability have further brightened the chances of other Esan sons and daughters.


While responding, the PDP State Chairman appreciated the team saying, the award came to him as a surprise. He never knew that, there was a group of people monitoring the activities of our party to have resulted to the award. The Chairman who dedicated the award to the State EXCO noted that, Edo State is one indivisible entity having three Senatorial Districts and that, all the Districts must be appreciated for being part of the success story in such a short time. He however was quick to say that, Esan Agenda Coalition will be better if the group can reconsider a broader name that can brings all Edo Citizens together rather than a Senatorial District and in that, the team's good intention can be better harnessed to the Glory of God and greater Edo State.

It was a historic moment today at Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State as the campaign train of the People's Democratic Party concluded its campaign tour in Edo Central.  The journey which commenced with a visit to the Palace of the Onojie of Irrua, HRH W.O. Momodu, the Okaijesan of Esan land, saw the King's spokesman reeling out the series of people-oriented projects executed by the Governor Obaseki's administration in Irrua Kingdom. The Palace of Okaijesan thanked the Governor for the reclamation of the gully occasioned by erosion in Ibore, construction of Idumabokhale road, construction of Eigbe road, establishment of Technical College at Usugbenu and the setting up of mechanized Farm at Usugbenu amongst several others.
