EDO DECIDE 2020 : PDP CONCLUDED ITS EDO CENTRAL WARD TO WARD TOUR IN GRAND STYLE AS GOVERNOR OBASEKI BATTLES WITH EMOTION OVER THE UNPRECEDENTED LOVE SHOWN HIM BY ESAN PEOPLE

It was a historic moment today at Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State as the campaign train of the People's Democratic Party concluded its campaign tour in Edo Central.

The journey which commenced with a visit to the Palace of the Onojie of Irrua, HRH W.O. Momodu, the Okaijesan of Esan land, saw the King's spokesman reeling out the series of people-oriented projects executed by the Governor Obaseki's administration in Irrua Kingdom. The Palace of Okaijesan thanked the Governor for the reclamation of the gully occasioned by erosion in Ibore, construction of Idumabokhale road, construction of Eigbe road, establishment of Technical College at Usugbenu and the setting up of mechanized Farm at Usugbenu amongst several others.

After thanking the Governor and offering prayers on his behalf, the monarch however prayed for more strength on him to do more.

The Governor who was elated and pleased to know that the Palace has already chronicled the series of projects executed in the locality,  pledged to do even more upon his reelection.

The King, while assuring the Governor of the total support of Royal Palace and Irrua Kingdom, declared prophetically: "We shall all gather here again after the election to celebrate your victory".

The campaign team thereafter moved on to the various Wards in continuation of the propagation of its message of Making Edo Great Again.

 At Wards 2 & 3,

Obaseki brought a message of hope to his teeming supporters as they were informed that the contract for the construction of Utako - Ujabhole road to ameliorate the suffering of the communities has been awarded.

The Governor was once again assured of the people's total support in his reelection bid.

Lending his voice to the call for total support in the Governor's reelection bid, Distinguished Senator Clifford Ordia maintained that the Governor has done so well to earn his reelection on merit. He added that members of  Wards 2 & 3 can attest to the fact that since the emergence of Governor Obaseki, the state is moving forward and the plaque of the marginalization of Esan land has been buried.

On arrival at Ibore - Wards 1 & 4,

The political pundit of the territory, Hon. Theophilus Okoh, told the Governor and his team that PDP's victory in the locality is as certain as the midway sun. In his own words;

"We have never lose these wards, and now the winning will be total because we now have the few of our people who were formerly in APC joining forces with PDP to ensure resounding victory for the Governor at the polls."

The Governor promised to extend Obore road to Uwessan as he is determined to link all the local communities with our major cities through road construction in his bid to make life easy for all.

The campaign train which later moved to Ewu - Wards 7 and 8, visited the Palace of the King of Ewu, HRH Razaki Y .I Ojeifo III, to entreat his Royal blessings.

The King appreciated the Governor for supporting one of his own to emerge as the Local Governmement Council Chairman amidst several other infrastructural developments carried out in his Kingdom.

The Governor promised to put a pragmatic 30 year developmental plan in place to address the myriads of challenges confronting Edo state in all facets of development. He equally requested the Royal Highness to assist in making land available to develop a new city in Ewu that will attract more development to the area.

He promised to revive Ewu flour mill before the end of first quarter of 2021 when reelected.

The Governor was emphatically told by the monarch that he shall return elected.

The monarch also appreciated Senator Engr. Clifford Ordia for his developmental strides in Esan land, which according to him has also complemented the efforts of the Governor in bringing development closer to the grassroots.

Upon anchoring its campaign ship at the political shore of Ugbegun people at Ward 10, HRH S.I. Obade II, the Onojie of Ugbegun, the Idigun of Ewan land, told Governor N. Obaseki that his coming to his Kingdom was merely to fulfill all righteousness, noting that his series of projects; including construction of roads in the locality has already gone far ahead of the Governor to do all the campaigns for him. In the voice of the monarch: "You already know that we are for you. This is not about politics, you have earned the love and trust of the people with your outstanding performance. I can only pray for more wisdom, strength and protection upon you."

On beholding the mammoth crowd of supporters at the campaign ground of Wards 5 and 6, and hearing the chant of "Obaseki, we love you!" renting the air, the Governor who was overwhelmed by the unprecedented show of genuine love went emotional. The words became heavy and melting even as the feelings deepened. The expression of connectivity between the Governor and those he has been elected to govern became illuminating and lucid.

The fact that APC has no place in Esan Central and by extension, the entire Esan land, was once again demonstrated in very certain and unequivocal terms.

Senator Ordia who could not hold back his overflowing joy while beholding the show of love by his people, sang to appreciate God, having seen the end of the successful campaign tour in Edo Central toda.

The message was well sent and delivered that come September 19th, 2020, Obaseki shall win Edo Central by landslide and also win the other two Senatorial Districts to return as the unmovable and unshakable Governor of Edo State.

You can't take it away from us, Edo Central is the home of PDP!
