Governor Obaseki, Ogbemudia Of Modern Time

The Ogbemudia Stadium is the pride of Edo State. Built by Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia, had been left to rot away for over thirty years with no major work done to the structure.

Sadly previous State Government administrations didn't pay any heed to the development of sporting infrastructure. Also facilities degenerated into a state of rot as the chickens came home to roost.

On assuming office as Governor, Mr.Godwin Obaseki broke that jinx with a total overhaul of the facilities.

Today the main indoor auditorium wears a new shiny look and the floor has been renovated, making it fit to once again host competitive indoor sports.

The swimming pool section is also being overhauled as the People's Governor Godwin Obaseki revitalized all the structures within the facility in confirmation with world-class standards.

What is more, the People's Governor Godwin Obaseki has upgraded Ogbemudia Stadium to international standard. Infact, the stadium has the following features:
-Natural grass pitch
-Newly laid tracks
-Rebuilt indoor sports hall
-Newly built gymnastic hall
-New olympic size swimming pool
-Full air-conditioned
-5 newly lawn tennis court
-Revamped VIP stand
-Electronic scoreboard
-Full equipped with VAR technology.

That is not all. Under the People's Governor Godwin Obaseki, Bendel Insurance FC, the number one darling club of Edo football enthusiasts gained promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League after 11years in relegation.

The Governor, who believes that his good works in the State had been campaigning for him, is seeking a re-election to consolidate on his developmental strides, believing that Edo people are no fools to be carried away by empty promises of the opposition politician.

No doubt, in making Edo great again, the focused of the People's Governor Godwin Obaseki is to fish out young talents among the youths and trained them to become the pride of the nation.

Together, we can make  Edo State great again. Vote a focused and selfless leader for the common good to make Edo great again.

It was a historic moment today at Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State as the campaign train of the People's Democratic Party concluded its campaign tour in Edo Central.  The journey which commenced with a visit to the Palace of the Onojie of Irrua, HRH W.O. Momodu, the Okaijesan of Esan land, saw the King's spokesman reeling out the series of people-oriented projects executed by the Governor Obaseki's administration in Irrua Kingdom. The Palace of Okaijesan thanked the Governor for the reclamation of the gully occasioned by erosion in Ibore, construction of Idumabokhale road, construction of Eigbe road, establishment of Technical College at Usugbenu and the setting up of mechanized Farm at Usugbenu amongst several others.
