Breaking News : Godwin Obaseki received Certificate of Return from PDP.

The people governor received the certificate from PDP National Chairman office Uche Secondus, this afternoon,while receiving the certificate he promise to strengthen PDP in Edo state, he also the Chiarmen to expect to victory against the opposition political party APC in the forthcoming governorship election. Godwin Obaseki further promise the people of Edo state to expect more better governance. More details shortly.

Defection Tsunami Hits Akoko-Edo APC ...as 19 party LG exco members, followers join PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State has suffered a political tsunami as the party's Local Government Chairman, Hon. Frank Adeyemi and his Vice, Abiaku Samuel, led other executive council members, to defect to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Receiving the defectors at the Government House, Benin City, on behalf of the State Leader of the PDP, Governor Godwin Obaseki and State  Chairman, the Deputy Governor congratulated the new entrants for defecting to the umbrella party. The Edo State Government has commiserated with the family of DSP Michael Adams, who lost his life during a successful rescue operation of some of the victims of a kidnap incident at Igueben Local Government Area of the state. The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, who led other top government functionaries and security officers to the home of late DSP Adams on Airport Road, Benin City, condoled with the family and expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident. He noted that the late DSP Adams was a gallant officer, whose exploits are worthy of commendations and emulation. “All the heads of security agencies are here. We are grieving. He left a family behind and we have to come and commiserate with them and also join them in this dark moment.
