The Edo State PDP Governorship Campaign Council (EPDPGCC) has asked the disgraced former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, to stop deceiving himself as the elders and leaders of Edo state cannot be swayed by his pretenses and deceptive genuflections. The Obaseki Campaign described Oshiomhole as a self-confessed liar and political swindler, who can no longer enjoy the trust and confidence of the people, including members of his party, the APC, who not only suspended him but kicked him out as a national chairman on account of his penchant for deception. A cross-section of senior Benin chiefs on Sunday, rejected efforts by the sacked National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, to drag them into partisan politics, urging the APC candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu to try out his luck at the poll, come September 19, 2020. According to the chiefs, their traditional duties to Edo people, irrespective of the political parties they belong, restrain some of them from campaigning for any candidate, and would not be swayed by Oshiomhole's genuflections and pleas. Our sources just confirmed to us that Mr Patrick  AKA Igodomigodo after the official flag off of the PDP which took place on Saturday was used as the negotiator to try to buy off all the  loyalists of Governor Godwin Obaseki. To do this, they made an offer to a popular grassroots mobilizer in the name of Mr. Austin EDOSOMWAN AKA Austin Vboot. They offered to pay him one hundred and twenty million naira for him to betray the Governor and join them. Mr. Austin who received a phone call around 11pm last night,  and he was given a location for him to meet up with them at Durban hotel. This is to clarify that the resigned Board members of the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission (EDSOGPADEC) are not members of the Edo State Cabinet. This clarification has become necessary, in order to correct the erroneous impression in the public domain that members of EDSOGPADEC (an agency of government) Board are civil commissioners of the Edo State Government. Media houses including TVC, should take note of this clarification. Controversial APC candidate in the forth coming Edo Governorship elections, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has encouraged thugs to move from polling unit to polling unit and ward to ward during the forthcoming elections. He was seen telling a gang of thugs led by Tony Kabaka that they must not only move from polling unit to polling unit but from ward to ward in order to ensure that they deliver the elections to the APC.
